How Long Does It Take to Learn Arabic

Learning Arabic takes patience and consistency. A beginner who studies daily can start understanding basic Arabic within a few months, while fluency may take years depending on dedication. Allah says: “And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?” (Surah Al-Qamar 54:17). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if small.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6464, Sahih Muslim 783). Even a small amount of daily study can bring great progress over time.
